- Attendance: Pat Zimmerman, Lynne Fitzsimmons, Mike Schlieski, Tim Prins, Dan Steves, Linda Edquist, Robin Korybski, Sharon Carsten, Amber Pham, Nora Gessert
- The minutes from the May 2024 board meeting were approved.
- A refund was received for the Spring Sale, $277. The Guild came out ahead.
- Newsletter
- No fall sale or weftover sale announcement provided
- Tim will reach out to Judilee
- Need to recruit a committee for the ANWG booth for the Summer of 2025. ANWG theme – weaving webs. June 16-21,in Yakima.
- Membership needs to remind people to review. We have 207 active members.
- Gathering of the Guilds
- Glass guild has dropped out, making more spaces available. The basketmakers guild and printmakers guilds have been invited
- Some businesses might sell at GOTG
- The gallery is very expensive to run, might not have it this time
- Glass guild is parting out the gallery pedestals
- Library and Closet
- The second new library cart will be delivered shortly. It is being built by Jacque DeBell and her husband John.
- John is also fixing the shelf over the door.
- Upcoming Guild Meetings
- Nora can’t be at the September meeting. Dan and Tim will fill in.
- AV training is needed for the October meeting – a group training will be scheduled very soon.
- Logistics – maybe move the Show and Tell to the end.
- October – speaker will present via Zoom in the morning; we need to be able to play back the recording at the evening meeting.
- There are guild programs scheduled for all months except November and May.
- SCORE Board Retreat
- Among other things, talk about getting grants and such
- Weftover Sale
- Lead is Kay Inglin, our Donations Coordinator. Her responsibilities (or, the responsibilities of the job) have not been spelled out.
- Need to keep volunteers from squirreling away items to attempt to purchase it at a discount later.
- Need a request for volunteers in the Newsletter, as well as solicitations for items to sell.
- Pat Z will write up a “no squirreling” for the volunteers
- Revising the Website
- Time for a refresh
- The membership will be surveyed for what they’d like to see and what doesn’t work.
- New theme
- New logo
- Volunteer page is empty

- Possibly a GOTG scholarship opportunity
- Sponsors – web page, newsletter, fall sale, December meeting
- Direct mail to members from select sponsors – would members get grumpy? Is there a privacy policy in place?
- Grants – what do we need the money for?
- Fundraising outreach – perhaps the Oregon Cultural Trust?
- Other groups – something with Ruthie’s? Other guilds?
