New Business

  1. October Guild Meeting Leaders needed
    • Leaders found
  2. Upgrading current AV Equipment
    • It was mentioned that maybe we need more professional sound equipment and a better projector  Audio $2-3 hundred.  New video projector?  Probably good to invest in the quality of meetings.
  3. Weftover Sale Donation Coordination
    • Sarah will manage donations from SW; Kay Inglin from Vancouver
  4. Long Range Planning Committee Meeting
    • Meet after the morning meeting?
    • After a very long discussion, decided not to.
    • See notes after the end of the minutes.
  5. New Member Tea Attendance
    • Sarah, Dan, Linda, Sharon, Robin
  6. Conflict of Interest Forms
  7. Scheduling
  8. Director Reports (Time Permitting)
    • Linda – study groups, after the new year.  Also mannequin discussion, again table until after the new year
    • Jackie Kraybill Howard needs funding and social media access for fall sale
    • Discussion: Jackie is doing social media ads for the fall sale, $100-200?
      1. Dan – should have been budgeted and factored into the booth rates for the fall sale.  Want to know if it is coming out of proceeds from the sale or from reserves?
      2. Sarah – booth fees are already paid; no commission.  Last year, anyway.  Booth fee has been raised, but doesn’t know if it includes social media ads.
      3. Talk with Judilee’s marketing group.
      4. Investing the saving acct at a higher interest rate.  .1% now; Wells Fargo offering 5%.  Agree to move to Wells Fargo.
      5. Jackie needs access to the facebook account.  Some sort of access issue.
  9. Schedule Next Meeting
    • October 26th, 7pm via Zoom
  10. Close
    • Meeting adjourned 8:31pm

Long Range Planning discussion notes

  • Looking at spaces in MAC
  • What is the goal for the LRPC
  • 2022-2023 meeting costs $4207 ($237, Auditorium for 3 hours, room 30 $120 gym $160)  Total $8770
  • Dan’s concerns – maybe we step back from the available space and work out what the guild needs.  A meeting where everyone could hear what is going on would be good.  But what else?
  • Workshops
  • Closet $193/month
  • Other space rental
