Meeting March 23 2024

There was a massive show and tell session. Elise spun and dyed (with natural dyes!) her yarn, and is in the process of weaving with a band heddle she carved herself. Sue brought in her Seidel tape loom.

We all brought our band weaving libraries, so we could see what everyone uses as a resource. Dixon’s Inkle Weaving book was popular.

Kay Inglin demonstrated a variety of inkle weaving techniques on 3 different inkle looms, pebble weave and others.

The next meeting will follow the general structure (show and tell, presentation, mutual assistance). Now that Lynne has pebble weave figured out (ouch, my head hurts!) she can also share with others.

Next Meetings:

Tuesday April 23, 1-3 at Ruthies. Lynne will demonstrate pebble weave on her Windhaven Accordion Loom. Also something on a Glimakra Band Loom, and maybe a Sunna heddle. If someone else wants to do a Sunna heddle demo, though, she’s all for it.

Saturday May 18 1-3 at Ruthies. No program selected.
