Just a quick note to everyone about issues at MAC ahead of the February meeting.
The Multnomah Arts Center did not emerge from the big freeze unscathed. The water main from the street to the building sprung multiple leaks. While the interior of the building seems not to have developed any leaks, the building currently does not have any running water. They have staged porta-potties with handwashing stations in multiple areas around the building. The ones out the front door are accessible from under cover if it is raining. There are also a number of water coolers in the building for drinking water.
In addition, the front parking lot is closed where they are digging up the water main and will be closed until it is resurfaced.
We just wanted to give everyone advance notice in case this affects your decision whether to attend Thursday’s meeting in-person or online.
