Workshop: Quintessential Northwest Vest

Everyone needs a vest or two to throw on by itself or as an extra layer.  Construct the perfect lined vest with standing collar, front zipper and large hand warmer pockets.  Vest is longer in back for added protection.

Since most participants will be using the same pattern, shown, suggestions for making each unique will be given. Pattern shown will be supplied, however participants are free to choose their own.

We will cover fitting, alterations, fabric prep including lining and interfacing. 

Instructor will supply the pattern shown (Elements vest 015) and stay tape.  Materials fee (payable to instructor) – $25.00

Interfacing – Linda will have different types available for sale. 

Student list:

• All sewing supplies:
  • scissors, shears
  • good quality-preferably cotton thread
  • colored pencils, clear ruler
  • tape measure
  • ham
  • clapper
  • steam iron and board
  • old tea towels for press cloths
• Sewing machine in good working order.  I do not repair.
• Dress form, if available.
• 2-3 yards of handwoven fabric and sufficient lining
• Rotary cutter and mat, if available
• 18” or 20” separating zipper

Sampling of workshop fees by number of participants:

• 8 – $242
• 10 – $193

As a reminder that while the total cost varies by number of registrations. We have 10 spots available. If we receive more than the minimum registrants, as is typical, and your deposit is higher than the final workshop fee, we will refund you the difference. Conversely, if the workshop fee is higher than the deposit, we will invoice you for the difference.
