Workshop: Passementerie with Elizabeth Ashdown (online in 2027)
Elizabeth Ashdown will be joining us virtually from her studio in London to lead an online workshop in Passimenterie. In this bespoke two day workshop, you will learn five woven passimenterie designs. Elizabeth is featured twice: she has an article and fringe pattern, and there is a brief segment about her book, Passementerie: Handcrafting Contemporary Trimmings, Fringes, Tassels, and More. PHG has a copy of her beautiful book in the library. This workshop is for weavers on all loom types.
Dates: Saturdays February 13 and 20, 2027. The workshop will run for 3.5 hours each day (hours to be confirmed, in the time block 9am-2pm).
Location: This is an online workshop.
Level: No prior passementerie experience required. You must be able to warp your and weave in plain weave on your loom. You will provide your own materials and supplies.
MATERIALS FEE: None
WORKSHOP FEE: PHG determines workshop fees on a sliding scale based on the number of participants. Here is a sampling of estimated workshop fees by number of participants:

- 12 – $110
As a reminder that while the total cost varies by number of registrations. We have 12 spots available. If we receive more than the minimum registrants, as is typical, and your deposit is higher than the final workshop fee, we will refund you the difference. Conversely, if the workshop fee is higher than the deposit, we will invoice you for the difference.
