Meeting June 7,2024

Present: Michelle, Robyn, Pat, Linda, Sharon

Big News in April regarding the COE program. HGA decided to suspend the program temporarily. Therefore, this study group is morphing into a “structures” group until HGA decides what/how/when the COE program will be reinstated. We decided to continue using the current booklet as a guide. We are choosing a sample by random number each month. We will present and discuss finished samples at the next meeting.

The first sample chosen is #11. From the COE book, “Sampler showing three types of LOOPED pile, including both pulled-up loops and knotted loops. Include a sketch of the structure of each.” This sample can be made on any loom.

You may make a sample or not. You may include a sketch or not. You may make the sample in the COE required minimum size of 7″ wide by 10″ long or not. Some of us hope that the samples we make will still fit the new requirements when they resume the program.

Our next meeting will be August 2, 2024, 1:31pm, at Ruthie’s. All are welcome.
