Phoebe McAfee

The Ross Island Bridge is a cantilever deck truss bridge that crosses the Willamette River between southwest and southeast Portland. It opened in 1926 and is part of U.S. Route 26, the Mount Hood Highway.

Phoebe wove this tapestry on an Aubusson upright loom using cotton warp and wool weft. The sett was 13 portee, about 10 epi. The size is 13 x 13 inches, 16 x 16 mounted.
