Blithe Jensen and Joan Wade

Portland’s Forest Park consists of 5,200 acres of native Northwest forest and is home to many varieties of wildlife. There are more than 40 access points for park visitors. The park includes the Wildwood Trail, envisioned in the early 1980s and completed in 1999, with 30 miles of natural surface for hiking. There are also roads for bicycle riding.

Blithe spun the wool yarn and knit a hat, which her late sister Joan (another PHG member) felted. With the remaining yarn, Joan knit and felted the small handbag, which includes her handmade fused-glass button.
